God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Covenants have changed. Who He is has not – Love. What He desires has not – Hope. How he does it has not – Faith.
Father spoke
Word and Spirit...the very character and nature of God created the earth and everything in it.
God said to Adam – your job is cultivate, multiply and dominate the earth. Then Adam gave it all away. God had to remove them from Eden.
Rules
Then God gave rules for being a good human, how to be to be safe, fair, and good. The big 10 – 4 for loving God and 6 for loving people. Then when you were not a good human, God clarified what was required.
Sacrifice
God loves obedience more than sacrifice. If you obey there is no need for sacrifice. By offering the sacrifices this showed devotion to God and His promises.
The big 10 – how to be a good human
No other Gods – You only want for Him, He is your focus. Create nothing to replace Him. As a kingdom dweller, bear His name, every moment as He desires, refer to the next 7 on how He desires for you to bear His name.
Be in rest – knowing God will take care of you, being rested is sometimes the best thing you can do for those around you. Honor your parents. Cause no harm to someone or their things…no murder, adultery, stealing or lying.
No Coveting – means you do not think about having or harming anything or anyone.
God put limits on what was required by other humans, because when it comes to Gods Holiness, death is required for the smallest lie, tiniest thing taken or even the thought of wrong. He put value on what was required, so revenge would not be something we would have to bear.
The Solid 3
Then God said,, “What do I require,” restating the big 10 in another way.
What are the solid 3?
Do justice – heal, deliver, restore , take responsibility, ask for forgiveness.
Love mercy – give as you would want given to you, accept others forgiveness.
Walk humbly – trust God, renew your mind to agree with Him.
The big 10 did not go away
The price for breaking them did go away, when Jesus – Spirit – Father chose to fulfill the requirements for the sacrifice. When Jesus became flesh, He said to love God and love people…which points to the big 10. He does not change, He loves us and knows what is best.
The Big 10 still stand
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Jesus did not come to condemn, He came to elevate.
Elevate what we do in our flesh, what we think in our mind, and feel in our heart.
Our spirit is new. We are filled with the Spirit, requiring us to study and rightly divide the word. We are given new words as we renew our thinking. Knowing we are right with God and knowing the promise of God to shield us from words of the enemy. Then we can go and have peace, using Gods word to kill the enemy.
